This summer I have been wanting and looking for jobs. I have been looking here in Pewaukee and up north in the Wisconsin dells where my dad lives. The only job I have here in Pewaukee is cutting grass for my mom. And up north one of my dad’s friend hired me and I have been raking leafs for them and I have made $15 plus soda, candy and a lunch from them. They are really nice people to be around and just flat out nice.
Now from different people the newest job is my most paying one and I was really happy about it, I get $50 each time to mow there grass! When I was talking to them saying how much do you want to pay me (And I was thinking $25 tops) Because they don’t have that big of a lawn. But when I heard $50 I was really happy but tried not to show it, to seem like it’s a fair price. But there’s more than just that.
The down side of it is I have to take some of my time and money to do it. (Because that is just how that works) I have to take at least $6 off because the cost of gas. And about two hours of my time cutting it and trimming it. Another bad thing is more than half the land is on a hill. So that will be harder to do than say flat land and it will also take longer.
But over all I think it is worth it and it is always nice to have some money. This summer I hope to make $340 in all from all of my jobs. So at the end of summer I hope I get to my goal.
