It was a frigid fall day. Our team the Pirates were on the 50 yard line. It was 4th and inches. It was the last play of the game. The score was zero to seven. The star quarterback (Hanson) got injured last play of the drive.
The next play of the drive they were sending in Zimmer the 2nd string quarterback which has not played all season. And last season Zimmer only thrown one time that was last season and that was a interception that turned into a touchdown. To lose the championship game.
The fans were booing when Zimmer was coming out into the field. Zimmer could tell the fans have not forgotten what happen last season. Even Zimmer in his head was in some way booing himself from what happen last year. But Zimmer was trying to get his head in the game because now he has another chance.
Zimmer had forgotten almost every play in the play book since he would never thought that he would play again. Zimmer did remember only the QB sneak. Okay QB sneak on hike. What?! No good! What yelled the fans! The game is over. Zimmer was just at the one yard line. Everyone could tell how depressed Zimmer was about not getting the touchdown walking back to the sidelines. Hey kid, Said the Coach, even though you didn’t make it, you never turned back. And that is the only thing Zimmer wanted to here.
